Future Teaching Goals

As the end of this internship course draws to a close, I am thankful that I have been able to be a part of it.  It has provided me with ideas for what needs to be worked on and what needs to happen for me to become a successful teacher for my future students.  As of the moment, I believe I do have some of the skills for an educator, such as explaining and guiding students towards answers.  However, after a somewhat flustered first time teaching, I know I was not the greatest at delivering information and that the skill needed to lead students in a classroom will be a challenge for me to gain.
In order to help myself, I plan on working on many of the skills needed in the classroom, such as leadership, public speaking, and micromanaging.  As I finish my next year of college, I hope to take a public speaking class and work on my ability to multitask my work.  I was well versed in the subjects I taught this semester, but one thing I will need to remember is that a full understanding of the subject being taught is always needed.  Following through with these goals will get the necessary abilities I need to teach well.  And as I work on these skills well into the future, my aim will always be to constantly trying to become a better educator for students.
